Al Quds Brigades claims responsibility for Lebanon-Israel border attack
The Al Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, which is present in both Gaza and Lebanon, claimed responsibility for an attack at the Lebanon-Israel border.
Lebanon’s Hizbollah group denied its involvement in the attack, which saw gunmen trying to infiltrate the border with Israel. But the group tightly controls its side of the border with Israel, and PIJ is unlikely to have conducted an attack without Hizbollah’s blessing.
The IDF said on Monday afternoon that its helicopters were “currently striking in Lebanese territory”. It said details would follow.
